த்ரிஷ்யம் - Part 2

Today is our Daughter's Birthday. She is turning 14.

It had been the most unforgettable birthday for her until now - let me explain how.

Her close circuit of friends (3 in number) had been planning about this day for a little close to a month often counselling with Anoo, my wife. In spite of sincere warnings given by Anoo, they had ended up purchasing quite an expensive wrist watch and supplemented with a Coffee mug with their group photos engraved. The most important part is that they all reached our home on saturday morning - to wish her in advance - since the birthday is on a week day.

Madhoo was taken aback seeing them at home since she was totally oblivious of their plans. We did have a great day with a lavish lunch at a good restaurant and having a cake cutting at the evening confined to our home. Well, is the story over ? not really.
Today, it  appears - her second circle of friends (Like we have "cousin" brothers and brothers !!) had planned 15 gifts for her - all small but varied ones - and kept giving her at the end of each class period making Madhoo really dizzy.

As she was feverishly scribbling today evening her memoirs of the day (yeah, she does it on special days - she feels diary writing DAILY is a huge commitment but she can't just help writing out her happy days in a diary - which is maintained by her some where in the home - as her absolute private property.
(After some time, I hope she will start writing open without any inhibitions & experience a different kind of bliss!!)

Now, if you are wondering how come this post is titled as "Drishyam 2"....... its all about the perspective on Madhoo's Birthday celebration.

See, the film Drishyam showed  a visualization which does not exist in reality. Yes ? If that is the play of Maya, then are you not able to see that the reverse that happened at our home in what I narrated above.....? Still not clear ?

The joy / thrill of maintaining the secrecy for her friends who were planning about for quite some time with a simple wish -  to see profound happiness in their friend's face - seems to be other side of the same coin.

A Reality Concealed is as much the same as a Falsification Perceived...isn't it so ?

Love // Suren
