Dear All
I am sure you know that the subject line IS the most famous contribution of Gauthama, The Buddha. At least I feel so - seeing the way the Budhism is being practised today which is very much different from what he intended it to be...
Well, before I proceed to muse further, I recommend - rather request , er er even plead you to go thru' a 5 minute clip of TTR which I saw few years back. Yes, you get volumes and volumes of his lectures in youtube and lot of his video clips are shared over whatsapp these days but then, this one is special as he talks about an important aspect of life (Dhinacharya)
Please go on

Well, Not long ago I had posted about New Year Goals which is just one of my posts in the blog on this favourite topic of mine. I had spent quite a lot time thinking about which one is most effective as a goal - Is it a specific action, or getting into a routine / habit OR getting out of a routine / habit.
<< Have you observed this ? For most of the mankind, the last one becomes a very effective goal for them....with their first live experience on Goal setting process. That's the design of life>>
Now, This concept of having a daily routine which TTR talks about had made me think so much for so long and got deeply internalised. It might be that some of my depression spells (even the high energy bouts - that I get into quite frequently) are due to too much thinking about my Dhinacharya (or daily routine, simply put)
Here comes "Gauthama Buddha" another ancient super Guru of our culture who envisages middle path.
(ah...i never realized today is Thursday....I am moving from one Guru (TTR) to another one now .....)
Bhagavat Gita also states "Wisdom does not dawn upon one who eats too much as much as it goes no where near the one who starves".
Moderation is the KEY which I - sort of implemented - today at my daily routine (Dhinacharya).....
I won't give details not because they are confidential but just that it is not going to be relevant any way.
See..I had 9 specific tasks at my daily routine which constitute 4 to 4 1/2 hours (Don't laugh...Its about me & I am quite delighted with these Nav rathnas) of my every day. I love each one of them as much as I love my first circle pals of life - what to do.....?
Needless to say, on some days I miss one / couple of them.... and on extreme days miss out every one of them wondering whats all this about....& If I am really serious about my favourite daily routine....
Can you empathize with me ?
Now hold your breath - I achieved a major transformation yesterday all of a sudden with a sudden stroke of a thought process leading to a crystal clear enlightment towards the end of it.
so....what's that exactly ..... huh...??
Yesterday I ended up identifying 3 - yes just 3 - out of my "Nav rathnas" as a MUST category putting all the rest as delights. Mind you...it wasn't a easy decision at all....but I kept meditating for most of the day to arrive at it to mull over the purpose / significance of it, the duration it takes & above all the impact that had on me until now....
Whats the fate of the rest 6 ?.....Its some thing on these lines - Good if I can cover them every day & no problem if I don't find time.
This way mind is much lighter and peaceful. I am going to closely observe if this is going to have a positive impact on my periodic mood swings....
You never know until you really know....!! Isn't it ??
As TTR (these days calling himself as "Mahatria") has popularized the 11.11 AM as a spiritually important moment of every day... I started off the first of my MUST DO 3 tasks slowly with lot of sincerity, commitment and optimism today at 11.11 AM....
