Bank......??!!!! Power......???

Dear All

This post got written up on my head few days back triggered with a small incident.

No..It is not about the plight / powerlessness of Banks today and I am not trying to get hooked to the unstable power supply that we experienced due to the Vardah Storm. You got beaten up by these things sufficiently & more over its past now - whats the point in languishing.....?

Well, I was oblivious about the "earning power" of our credit cards until recently - I mean the reward points that they give to the already big buyers which helps them to stuff some more trivial articles at their homes. When some acquaintance casually told us that he keeps a track of the reward points and bought THIS, THAT and ANOTHER ONE too, I felt bit out of the place and decided to have a tryst with my destiny too - oops i mean, the accumulated reward points for my credit card account.

When we become wise, Nature helps us to become even more - Isn't it ?
I learnt that the old points all get evaporated in thin air and with the last six month paltry credit card usage, we managed to get a Electric Water Jug six months back. This is some thing we are using from the day one almost daily. The incident to narrate came much later -recently

After mustering few more points, we eyed on a "Power Bank" which is some thing that we don't have at home. I have heard about it and understand what it is but never had a luck of touching and seeing it until now. So, was quite happy that we haven't chosen some thing trivial... and was waiting with some excitement for its delivery.

Got the series of messages that typically these distribution organisation give us at every stage...and was gearing up to receive it our home. Vardah came slightly ahead of our new "Power Bank" and when the dutiful courier reached us on a sunlit day just after Vardah's Veriyaattam....
We had no electricity to even power it for a full 2 days.....though the "Power Bank" gave some assurance about future.

So, the moment I opened the door when the courier man knocked (yep - no power ...you see), that was the time to get reminded about Saint Dattatreya.

Folks, I am not trying to promote my earlier post ; neither I am imagining that no one around me is so ignorant and rigid without learning any thing.
The whole point of this post is to share the bliss of this type of co-incidences, paradoxes and similarities in seemingly different aspects of life.

Whats next....?? You never know until you know...

Love // Suren
