Prelude : This post is not to do any thing with 2014 alone. Beware !!
Today Morning I woke up - unusually - bit earlier. Saw one small piece of (round shaped) pamphlet on the sofa at hall advertising some Ice Cream brand. What was really intriguing was the hand written (very neat & tidy) note "Love you Priya Miss".(Officially called name of Anoo at her school)
When I asked Anoo on this came a nice story. It appears one of the tiny tot at her class came yesterday and handed over this to her. Taken aback at a seemingly rare gift, she casually shared her happiness to the girl's mother when she reached the school to pick her daughter at the end of the day.
Her mother - it seems - explained her that she was adamant about giving this to her "Priya miss" and since Priya miss is scrupulously disciplined and would not tolerate the pamphlet gift if it is untidy and folded, the kid had taken care to keep it safe within one of her note books.
This simple story moved me to my roots after long time and I could live the happiness of "priya miss", the devotion and affection of the little one and above all the pride of the child's mother who should have written the words atop the gift (the writing was legible and matured; definitely not from a LKG kid who must be still learning the alphabets).
It is always proclaimed that "The influence of a teacher is unlimited". I understood the profound truth once again today which I felt like sharing.........
If only................
