Prelude :: These days I am getting dangerously philosophical due to some personal reasons and current situations. No wonder it gets spilled around me once a while..including in AGANDAM too...Please go on.....!!

Let me put my thoughts on Cause and Effects theory. Rather, it is not a theory or just thought processes but all these words are backed by lots of personal observations, experiences, insights....and self realization of this grand truth.
KARMA literally means ACTION (Courtesy :: Sadhguru). People are so ignorant about their "current" actions that they identify this with past actions. Few smart people even push this to their past births and keep lamenting about their sins and birth stars being the reason for all the pains they undergo currently.
How wonderful just to observe the people around who do not see the connection (or connectivity ??) or nexus between their current actions and effects. Perhaps, most of the times, this gets established in easier manner and I am taking such easy discoveries out the scope of this musings (Example : Some one gets bit careless in road and ends up in an accident....does it need any great wisdom for a sane person to get the message clearly ?? Lets talk some thing more subtler please.....)
Normally when we are not able to identify the exact reason for things happening in a particular way, we don't invest too much to get into investigation mode as there is so much to be done to handle the current situation. Tragically human beings even develop a pride about their effective way of handling a crisis and console themselves that best had been done by them under the given situation. How tragic if we do not get a message from this ONE incident and get a hang on cause and effect theory...which can help us enormously in future.....??
Here comes the catch... there is such a blurred demarcation between the cause and effects. Essentially both are actions (even just a volition to do some thing) and they transcend the time factor. To complicate things further, their connection cannot be traced so easily and its not an one to one relationship between a particular cause and a specific effect. Imagine many balls getting thrown from a height on a flat floor and each one taking their own way of reflecting back after touching the floor. Even in the most simplistic example above, there are too many factors like the height from which the balls are thrown, the pressure applied while throwing, the material of the ball, collisions between the balls - if any, the wind speed, the nature of the floor, the angle of throw, perhaps even the time of the throw, and if the same person have thrown all of them at same time or not.......ALL these factors determine the effect or the bouncing back of the balls....!!
Life has much more factors to be comprehended and is full of eternal learning prospects....HOW on earth we will be able to unveil this connection between cause and effect for every single thing that happens in our lives ?? IN fact in my own observation, even the size or the shape of the cause and effect need not be identical and recognizable. Bi gs and Smalls are just compartments of our own imagination and thought process and the eternal truth which transcends time is capable of living much above the plane of big and small, good and bad...and so on.....!!
With me not getting realized about truth until now (yes yaar...believe me, its a long way to go !!), at least I have the sanity getting developed within me NOT to get to conclusions about life quickly based on few things that are too apparent. When we see the effect of some thing becomes a cause for some thing else, there is a continuum of transactions which are too complex and beautiful, I am bit bogged down some times and tell myself not to resolve myself about any "opinion" about any thing.....!! Even those things where I am tempted to draw the connection, I am keeping myself in a mental fitness level that I will not be getting surprised if my conclusion turns out to be totally wrong on the very next day...based on few other developments.....!! Ability to laugh at any thing at any point of time seems to be the best way to understand this grand truth of CAUSE AND EFFECT at least in glimpses....and I am sure it is not some thing that we can definitely be sure off... until our last breath.....!!
Title to be justified....at this stage, right ?? Gentle men and Ladies, Let me put on my record about my restlessness about Newton's adjectives when he describes the third law .... Every action has an EQUAL and OPPOSITE reaction... I don't buy it...really. Even the suffix "re" makes me think for a while.....!!
AM I getting into the mood of my next posting to distinguish between the words that we carelessly use.....Equal and Equivalent....., Same and similar.....to quote few examples ??
Let me snap off for the day.......Let Shambo prevail and make me a silent observer at least from now on. Think my speech can get more qualitative and effective from now on, at least....!!
