Dear All

One piece of today's THE HINDU delighted me - our new PM's speech is telecast across many states of US and expected to (or already ?) covered by more than 20000 US nationals. This is in a way a record - as reported - as our earlier PMs who have given speeches at US was normally within the confined corridors of NRIs or some association - not meant for larger audience at US.

Some time back, in the blog started by the natives of our village, I read from one of my cousins about a piece of news about Narendra Modi and remember giving a positive comment about it. YES, this man fascinates me not because he was a tea maker yesterday but because of the bold decisions (never before) that he is taking and simple acts of leadership gestures that he is demonstrating today.

Unlike many of you, perhaps I am not too sure of what all he did so far because I read news  papers very less and do not follow the political news religiously. But starting from the decision to have cabinet ministers less than 75 years of age (or 70?), having a direct interaction with the secretaries of various ministries, inviting SAARC Leaders for his oath taking ceremony, placing a rose flower in front of the Mahatma's statue inside the parliament before sitting in his seat (beware, though he belongs to same Gujarat like the Father of our Nation, he is from RSS background).......I prefer to stop here as it is pointless to expand when the purpose is served.

One particular aspect I like most about this man is his rude face. He gives the look of a no-nonsense master and a person who calls spade a spade - while people have affectionately chanting him as NaMo (which is the basis of RUDRAM, right ?? he he he), I look at him as Lord Rudran himself. YES, there is so much to destroyed and demolished in our country requiring reconstruction and rehabilitation. I wish and pray that he gets sufficient support and most importantly maintains this level of intensity to carry out what needs to be done in addition to what needs to be taken away....

சமீபத்தில் கவர்ந்த வரிகள் - 1

அன்புடையீர் 

எம் ஜி ஆர் , சிவாஜி காலத்தில் தமிழ் சினிமா பாடல்கள் அர்த்தம் பொதிந்து மிகவும் அழகுணர்வோடு இருந்ததாம் ! பலர் அங்கலாய்க்கும் பொழுது எனக்கு கொஞ்சம் அதிசயமாய் இருக்கும். இந்த உலகத்தின் அற்புதமே  எல்லாமும் எப்போதும் இருப்பது தான்.....புரியவில்லை ? 

சதவிகிதங்கள் (percentage ) ஏறலாம் குறையலாம்......நம் பிரக்ஞை - லிருந்து ஒளிந்து மறையலாம்......நம் ரசனைகள் கூட சில சமயங்கள் மாறலாம். ஆனால் எதுவுமே புதிதும் இல்லை  ; பழையதாகவும் இல்லை என்பது தான் உண்மை - இது நான் புதிதாக சொல்லி விடவில்லை. காலங்காலமாக பெரியவர்கள் சொல்லி வருவது தான். 

நானும் இதை பல சமயம் உணர்ந்து இருப்பதால், கொஞ்சம் உரிமையாக சொல்கிறேன். 

சமீபத்தில் "திருமணம் என்னும் நிக்காஹ்" என்று வரவிருக்கும் ஒரு தமிழ் திரைப்படத்தில் ஒரு பாடல் ("கண்ணுக்குள் பொத்தி வைப்பேன்" )internet - ல் கலக்கிக் கொண்டு இருக்கிறது. நான் இது வரை சுமார் நூறு முறை (மிகையில்லை) பார்த்து இருக்கிறேன் - அந்த பாடலின் ஒவ்வொரு வரிகளுக்காகவும், திரையாக்கம் செய்த விதத்தில் இருக்கும் புத்திசாலித்தனம் மற்றும் அந்த பாடல் முழுவதும் விரவி கிடக்கும் அழகு உணர்ச்சிக்காகவும்...... (அந்த புத்தம் புது கதாநாயகியின் அழகு பாவங்களுக்காகவும் தான்) - என்னை சமீபத்தில் மயக்கிய பாடல்களில் இது ஒன்று.

முதலில் எழுதிய  பத்திக்கு வருவோம். இந்த பாடலின் ஒரு சரணத்தில் முதல் நான்கு வரிகள் கீழே.

                       எது எதற்கோ பொய்கள் 

                                எதிர்  எதிராய் மெய்கள் 

                       எது எதுவாய் ஆகும்          

                                விடை கடந்தே போகும்.....

படத்தின் தலைப்பை ஊன்றி கவனியுங்கள். செய்தீர்களா ? இந்த பாடலை பார்க்காத அபாக்கிவான் - களுக்கு மேலும் ஒரு தகவல் - இந்த பாடல் வரிகளுக்கு கதாநாயகன் நடனம் ஆடும் பொழுது (ஒரு பெரிய flat மொட்டை மாடி மேல்) அவன் கால் கீழே ஒரு பெரிய ரங்கோலி கோலம் - பர்தா போட்ட ஒரு பெண் முகம் ......!! 

இந்த scene - ஐ விட்டு விட்டு பார்த்தாலும், அந்த வரிகள் மட்டுமஏ என்னை மயக்குகிறது........

மீண்டும் சொல்கிறேன்..... காலம் அநாதியானது.....!! நாம் அளவிட்டு ஆராய்ந்தது அறுதியிட்டு தீர்ப்பு சொல்லும்  அளவுக்கு இன்னும் தரம் தாழ்ந்து விடவில்லை.  சரிதானே ?

****Trivialities***

Dear All

I have been repeatedly writing in this blog that my craving is to share what I know, experience and enjoy. This is not a statement out of humility but a plain truth that I am a novice in most of the practical (which includes technical matters) and I neither had shame  to cover it up nor had the craving to become smarter in things that world wants one to be...!!

Believe it or not, I was crystal clear about the boundaries of this blog when I started it 5 years back - its all about me and ..... (read the first line of the first para once again)

To one of my earlier posting which I had titled as "awareness" I got a feedback (I found nothing constructive in it to term it as a feedback, still let me call it so to avoid gaps in communication) from my first cousin and I should admit that I had a hearty laugh at the humor well intended. Yes, it is utter stupidity to go thru' my blog if one does not feel trivial things are the source of greatest of learning and what I mean by the term "learning" is nothing but ecstasy, happiness and a momentary pleasure - nothing more and nothing less.

I read news paper religiously once a week and get utterly amazed at few of the news items and become lot more puzzled about the so called sensational news items. Yes, reading a Rs.2 newspaper offers so much to me but I don't do it too often because ..... its not worth it (according to me).

So, this expedition of writing about little things that I care for and the extra ordinary matters I love about will continue. There is a sheer pleasure in reading my own words and I should candidly admit that there were some worthy feedback on the way I write which gives me the "pep" to write.

So, Readers of Agandam......Choice is yours.....I mean it....choice is always yours.....!!
