New Year Vows !!

Prelude :: I am not responsible if you read the title as "new year woes" !!

Hi

Do you have the habit of taking pledges on new years ? Before you do, just hold yourselves.....and try to recall the last year's pledge and the gory fate it underwent perhaps by the Republic Day that followed quite quickly!!

That does not any way mean I am dead against taking goals and I am cynical about "goals" in life. Rather, it is better to take up a fresh goal after intensifying ourselves with some practical thoughts about them, is n't it ??

Well, what's my goal for 2011 ?

Self development books presribe the method of "declaring" goals in public - and communicating it to our near and dear - to act as a checkpoint for ourselves. I have tried this in the past but ended up hiding myself from these people after a month or so due to obvious reasons !!

So, just to make some change in approach, I prefer to keep mum now....and perhaps tell you guys on my 2011 goals some time during the middle of the year - why not on my birthday which falls during June ??!!

Until then, let me keep doing what I intend to do. I prefer to be a "embarking God" than to be a "barking dog" (idhu eppidi irukku ??)
