I have been all along experimenting with taking up goals / pledges - never getting abated by failures & improvising on the science of taking goals in different spheres of life - some times in the nature of habit formation, most times in the nature of one time / specific goals...
With my bountiful energy, the success percentage is always little more in one time goals - most of them stemming from craving the heart - no wonder there is not much sweat in doing them.
Today I put on record an important goal that I am taking up - its specific but sort of long term. This goal got shaped up over the period of past 15 days - like a thunderbolt today.
I went to a Jeeva Samadhi near Tambaram home (Sachidhaanantha Sabai) which had been one of my regular spots decades back...but as I went in today, I solidified the high level goal in his Shrine and the details got added up as I stepped out when I had a glimpse of the Notice Board near the entrance.
Yes, I took a vow that I will visit at least 100 Samadhis of Sages in next 10 years.
How did the notice board at the outside of Samadhi help me...it had pin code as 73 (which is my birth year), the phone number started with STD code 44 (which is my current age) and the last two digits of the phone number was 54..... ; That was enough for me to wrap it up....
(I ruminated for a while about adding "Jeeva" in front of the samadhis - which you must be familiar as a special type of samadhi... But then quickly realized it will only complicate things and create needless divisions in my own mind.
After all I am not matured enough to know the difference between the two & I don't want to make their moment of leaving more important than their entire life.....)
So I will systematically record all the samadhis which I visit - either locally or travel over week ends....and I am sure this is another achievable goal from my side....
